Yann-Ru Lou
I am an assistant professor in the Department of Plant Biology at UC Davis. I became a scientist because I found chemical structures cute. Before coming to UCD, I did my postdoctoral training at Michigan State University after completing my Ph.D. at Cornell University. The beauty, diversity and complexity of plant specialized metabolites has fascinated me since my undergraduate studies at National Taiwan University. Outside of research, I enjoy reading and strolling in the wilderness. If you would like to know more about my mentoring philosophy, you can find my mentoring statement here.
